Don't let the name change fool you. S2Read is just the new mask for the infamous S2Manga, trying to escape their terrible reputation. When you see the S2Read logo on a chapter, you already know you are about to read a poorly stitched Frankenstein monster of a translation.
What makes them a Hall of Shame candidate?
• Pronoun Roulette: Their machine translation struggles so much that a single character will be referred to as "He", "She", and "It" all within the same page.
• Ghost Proofreading: They clearly just copy-paste text from DeepL or Google Translate directly into the speech bubbles. Sentences often cut off midway, or make absolutely zero sense in English.
• Predatory Rebranding: Changing their name to S2Read doesn't change the fact that they target highly anticipated series, drop trash-tier translations to steal the hype, and ruin the experience for everyone.
Reading S2Read is like trying to enjoy a gourmet meal after it has been thrown into a blender. A new name can't fix a broken system.
