MangaKakalot (General Review)

MangaKakalot (and its sister site Manganelo) is perhaps the most famous and most infamous aggregator site on the internet. They do not translate anything themselves. Instead, they run automated bots that instantly scrape (steal) chapters from every single hard-working scanlation group in existence. Why are they hated by the scanlation community? • Stripping Credits: They often remove the credit pages of the actual scanlators who spent hours translating and cleaning the chapters, taking the traffic and ad revenue completely for themselves. • Horrendous Compression: To host their massive stolen library, they compress the images to death. A beautiful, high-definition webtoon will look like a blurry, pixelated mess on MangaKakalot. • Missing Pages and Errors: Because they rely on automated bots to scrape chapters, they frequently miss pages, upload chapters out of order, or upload broken images. And since they don't care about the series, these errors are almost never fixed. By reading on MangaKakalot, you are directly harming the scanlators who actually do the hard work. Always try to read on the original group's site or respected community platforms like MangaDex.
