DragonTea (General Review)

DragonTea is the textbook definition of biting off more than you can chew. They are infamous in the scanlation community for mass-claiming dozens of series at once, only to ruin them with terrible machine translations and completely abandoning them a few weeks later. Why do they frustrate readers so much? • Quantity Over Quality: They want to monopolize as many series as possible to drive traffic to their site. To keep up with this impossible schedule, they rely heavily on raw Machine Translation (MTL) with absolutely zero proofreading. • Confusing Terminology: Because they rush their chapters, character names change spelling constantly. A character named "Kael" in chapter 1 will suddenly be called "Carl" in chapter 2, and "Kale" in chapter 3. It breaks all immersion. • The "Hoard and Drop" Tactic: The most malicious thing DragonTea does is pick up a highly anticipated new series, release three garbage-tier chapters so other good groups don't pick it up, and then completely drop the series for months. They hold good stories hostage. Unless you enjoy reading stories where the character names change every five pages and the grammar makes you dizzy, stay far away from DragonTea.
